Streszczenie: Nahman Ruzumni mieszka na obrzeżach ultraortodoksyjnej społeczności w Bnei Brak w Izraelu. Jako Driver zabiera żebraków do bogatych domów i uczy ich opowiadać swoje historie w sposób skłaniający do dobroczynności. Za tę usługę dostaje swoją działkę i może zanotować opowieści. Resztę czasu spędza w prowizorycznych kasynach i garkuchniach razem z najbardziej kontrowersyjnymi członkami pobożnej społeczności. Gdy nagle odejdzie od niego żona, stanie przed koniecznością opieki nad 9-letnią córką.

Short description: Nahman Ruzumni lives on the fringes of the ultra-orthodox community in Bnei Brak, Israel. As a Driver, he takes beggars to wealthy homes and coaches them telling their stories in order to inspire philanthropy. For his services he gets a cut of the money and writes down their stories in his notebook. He spends the rest of his nights in makeshift casinos and dining halls with the most questionable members of this pious society. But when his wife suddenly leaves, Ruzumni is faced with the responsibility of taking care of his nine-year-old daughter alone.

Yehonatan Indursky urodził się w 1984 i mieszka w Jerozolimie. Jako dziecko uczęszczał do słynnej Jesziwy Poniewież w Bnei Brak. Studiował w Szkole Filmu i Telewizji Sama Spiegela. Był  redaktorem i felietonistą ortodoksyjnych gazet. Jego film dokumentalny Czas Poniewieża (o życiu uczniów Jesziwy Poniewież) pokazany był po raz pierwszy na MFF w Hajfie w 2012. Razem z Orim Elonem stworzył serial Shtisel, który w 2014 zdobył 10 nagród Izraelskiej Akademii Telewizyjnej, w tym: za najlepszy serial i za najlepszy scenariusz. Jest laureatem nagrody dla najlepszego reżysera filmu krótkometrażowego za The Cantor and the Sea na FF w Jerozolimie w 2015.

Director: Yehonatan Indursky
Yehonatan Indursky was born in 1984 and lives in Jerusalem. As a child he went to the world-renowned Ponevezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak. Later he studied at the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School and was an editor and a columnist of orthodox newspapers. His documentary  Ponevezh Time about the lives of the students at Ponevezh Yeshiva premiered and competed at Haifa IFF 2012. Yehonatan (together with Ori Elon) co-created the highly acclaimed drama series Shtisel, winning 10 Israeli Television Academy Awards in 2014, including Best Series and Best Script. He won Best Director of a Short Film at the Jerusalem Film Festival 2015 for The Cantor and the Sea.
