Streszczenie: 17-letni Aszer zawsze był impulsywnym rozrabiaką. Z powodu problemów z wyrażaniem gniewu ma wiele problemów w szkole średniej. Jednocześnie jest obdarzony dużym urokiem i sprytem. Short description: 17-year–old Asher has always been the impulsive troublemaker. It’s hard for him to concentrate in class, and he is compelled by a lot of rage and violence; yet he is also endowed with a considerable amount of charm and street wisdom. While his father sees him as a natural successor to the family’s scaffolding business, Asher finds a different masculine role model in his gentle literature teacher Rami and forges a special connection with him. Torn between the two worlds, he looks for a chance for a new life and new identity. When a sudden tragedy occurs, he has to take the ultimate test of maturity.

Matan Yair – filmowiec, pisarz, scenarzysta, wykładowca literatury i historii. Studiował scenariopisarstwo w Szkole Filmu i Telewizji Sama Spiegela w Jerozolimie oraz reżyserię na Uniwersytecie w Tel Awiwie. Jego filmy i książki są zawsze autobiograficzne. Dokument It Is Written in Your I.D. That I Am Your Father był pokazywany na MFF w Hajfie w konkursie filmów dokumentalnych. W 2009 Matan Yair wydał pierwszą powieść, która ma formę dziennika nastolatka. Książka została nagrodzona przez Izraelską Bibliotekę Narodową. Droga Aszera jest jego pierwszym filmem fabularnym.

Director: Matan Yair
Matan Yair – filmmaker, writer, and screenwriter, as well as a high school literature and history teacher. He studied Screenwriting at the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School in Jerusalem, and Direction at Tel Aviv University. His work is always autobiographical. His documentary It Is Written in Your I.D. That I Am Your Father was screened at the Haifa International Film Festival in the documentary competition. In 2009, he published his first novel, which takes the form of a teenager’s diary. It won an award from the National Library of Israel. Scaffolding is his first feature film.
