Streszczenie:

W żydowskim, ultraortodoksyjnym świecie jest miejsce tylko na aranżowane małżeństwa. Lea, młoda, dorastająca kobieta, która pracuje w sklepie swojej owdowiałej matki, jest gotowa na miłość. Jednak matka zdaje się jej na to nie pozwalać.

Short description:

In the Jewish ultra-Orthodox world, marriage is by arrangement only. Leah, a young woman just coming of age who works in her widowed mother’s store, is ready for love, but her mother seems unwilling to let her go.

Reżyser:

Rachel Elitzur pochodzi z ultraortodoksyjnej społeczności. Jest absolwentką dwuletniego kursu scenopisarstwa w Szkole Filmowej Ma’aleh oraz kierowniczką programu reżyserii dla ultraortodoksyjnych kobiet w tej szkole. Najmłodszy to pierwszy film fabularny tej reżyserki, powstały pod opieką Gesher Multicultural Film Foundation. Jej pierwszy pełnometrażowy dokument W ukryciu, stworzony przy wsparciu telewizji YesDoco, pokazywany był podczas Festiwalu Filmów Dokumentalnych DocAviv w 2018 roku.

Director:

Rachel Elitzur, a young woman from the ultra-Orthodox community, is a graduate of the two-year scriptwriting course at Ma’aleh Film School and is the director of the ultra-Orthodox women’s filmmaking program at the school. The Youngest is Rachel’s first narrative film, developed under the supervision of the Gesher Multicultural Film Foundation.  Rachel’s first feature documentary, Covered Up, supported by YesDoco Satellite television, was screened at the DocAviv documentary film festival, 2018.
