Short description:

On Saturday, June 16th 1933, at 23:00 while walking with his wife Sima near the shores of Tel Aviv, Haim Arlosoroff was shot dead at the age of 34 by two unknown assassins. Arlosoroff was a promising leader and a rising star in the Zionist movement. The assassins quickly fled through the side streets of the city, taking with them the answer to a question which has been left unresolved to this very day: Who killed Arlosoroff? The documentary will reveal the different directions the investigation takes with a surprising answer to the unsolved mystery until today.

Avi Weissblei is an Israeli director and producer who has directed both fiction and documentary. His A State Behind the Scenes (2011) is a feature length about the backstage events of the declaration of independence of the State of Israel. The Ceremony (2013) won the Audience Award in DOCAVIV, Tel-Aviv film festival. The Assassination is his last feature length documentary film.
