Streszczenie:

Matka reżysera nieoczekiwanie dziedziczy małą willę w eleganckiej dzielnicy Londynu. Musi jedynie udowodnić, że jest córką Ernsta Beczinskiego – byłego prezydenta gminy żydowskiej w Tyrolu. Tymczasem w Austrii zostaje odnaleziony akt zgonu mężczyzny o tym samym nazwisku i danych, co Beczinski. Pełen napięcia dokumentalny kryminał ujawnia historię człowieka, który umiera dwa razy – raz w 1969 r. w Izraelu i drugi raz w 1987 r. w Innsbrucku, odkrywając przy tym wiele zaskakujących faktów z jego przeszłości.

Short description:

Surprisingly, the film director’s mother became the heiress of a cottage in posh North London. She had only to prove that she is the daughter of Ernst Bechinsky – former president of the Jewish community in Tyrol. But then came an astonishing discovery: another death certificate was discovered in Austria, revealing a man with the same name and I.D., born on the same date and in the same place as Ernst Bechinsky. The tense detective documentary reveals the story of a man who dies twice – once in 1969 in Israel and the second time in 1987 in Innsbruck, revealing many surprising facts from his past.

Yair Lev, reżyser i wykładowca, jest twórcą 5 filmów fabularno-dokumentalnych; w 1996 r. za swoją twórczość otrzymał prestiżową nagrodę izraelskiego Ministerstwa Kultury. Reżyserował też wiele programów TV, krótkie metraże i filmy edukacyjne. Yair Lev wykłada reżyserię i teorię kina w Jerozolimskiej Szkole Filmowej i Telewizyjnej Sama Spiegla oraz jest profesorem na wydziale Sztuki Filmowej Akademii Sztuk Pięknych i Wzornictwa Bezalel w Jerozolimie. Od 2008 r. jest Kierownikiem ds. Nauki “Greenhouse”, renomowanego programu rozwojowego dla początkujących twórców filmowych z regionu Morza Śródziemnego.

Yair Lev, director and film lecturer made so far five feature-documentaries; In 1996 Lev received the prestigious Ministry of Culture’s Art of Cinema Award. He also directed several TV programs (reportages, History of Israeli art series and others), short films and educational films. Yair Lev teaches filmmaking and theory of cinema at the Jerusalem Sam Spiegel Film and Television School and is a professor in the Screen Based Arts department at Bezalel Academy for Art and Design Jerusalem. Since 2008 he is the Head of Studies of “Greenhouse”, a highly successful development program for emerging Mediterranean young filmmakers.
