Born in Warsaw in 1945. In 1970 he completed his law Study at Warsaw University.Since 1973, he has his own attorney office and decided to specialize in criminal law. During the martial law he was the attorney for political prisoners. Member of Solicitor
Council, have been also active as an expert for Mazowsze Region of NSZZ “Solidarity”.He is the co-writer of the scripts for 17 of Krzysztof Kieślowski films such as: “No End”, “Decalogue”, “The Double life of Veronique”, “Three Colours”. Those scripts were awarded several times on festivals in Cannes, San Sebastian, Venice, Berlin, Gdańsk and also European Film Award Fenix. He has been awarded with first price on Human Right Festival in Strasburg, and awarded by Ecumenical World Jury. The script of “Three colors Red” have been nominated to Oscar.
The movie scripts have been translated into 10 languages and have been edited as books.Krzysztof Piesiewicz is a member of American Film Academy and French SACD.He is also journalist for several magazines.
